willingness in allowing me thus to take advantage of his expert knowledge of mathematics. My thanks are, I have to say in conclusion, very particularly due to Mr.P.Varadacharyar, B.A., Librarian of the Government Oriental Manuscripts Library at Madras, but for whose Zealous and steady co-operation with me throughout and careful and continued attention to details, it would indeed have been much harder for me to bring out this edition of the Ganita-sāra-saṅgraha.
