I have carefully compared all the quotations from different authors with the original texts.
Some of the quotations from the Valmikiya Ramayana, the Srimadbhagavata and the Mahabharata, differ in wording, if not in sense, from the original texts, while there are others that I could not find in the books referred to. I have added my remarks on such quotations and references in foot notes.
