KATHOPANISAD ।

1px ( १ntext of the one-day Sacrifice called bha, all the fees, the 12, the horse, & etc, belonging to he original sacrifice koi:taxy} are to be substituted by it (dkenu), this word fee lierc signifies sonne wealth (byti). And it is used with refer ence to action as in + in this actiop this is the wage ". It is also used with refeence to the agent (arty) as i < In this action, this is the wage to this person (agent)." Since there- fore the fees are 17any ot1 account of the officiating priests being many , tle plural fees faixas) is proper. There fore, it is said in Zhe adhikarate in Chapter X beginning with the sta * If the gift is to the brahman (priest) the fee (to the Rk pr><t} will be less by it, with the modification the fee will be the same " that, if the passage occuring in the sacrifice called Rtapeya " The fee is the Soma•vessel made of Udium bara (fig-wood. " it must be given to the Brahman-priest who is friendly and of the same gotra. is to be one single sentence (which it is not), then, the Brahma-priest's share alone is to be substituted, since the word + daksia ' could signify it with its primary significance without any resort to the secondary significance (!aaa) in respect of the portion.

Now therefore it can be see that even though the fee in reference to this (Visvajit) sacrifice he one, there may be differ ences in the fees in reference to the ritisand as such, there is no impropriety in the (use of the plural fees.
