as to make the word to mean the three in the group excluding Subrahmanya, or including Him, all the four of the group. Further in the Aiddhierala, (PsIII. iii. 15-6) it is stated that the number twelve relating to uperd-sacrifices enjoined in the sentence " eve for the Aing" which occurs in the context of JSofialong, is however to be taken a way to a particular group of sacrifices to be performed for many days (dhargana-wik;c) because the word taking it to be stymologically explaimed as having been formed according to varxied under Pani N. 2.43आith Rag•Bufix after the base be and is to be taken as meaning through nominal signi ficance (rathi) some particular group of sacrifices performed during a number of days, since it is not at all used in respect of Satra sacrifices, and therefore it cannot refer to Jyotiatoma, it not being an ahima group of sacrifices performed in a number of days.

Forther' though the word 'd4ayiy' is formed according to Panini (III. 129) and used to mean the ks called amidai (Rks used at the time of kindling the bacrificial fre, yet it does not mean the Semini Raks in general, nor does it mean according to etymological explanation, namely, that which is used diyanima) in all the Rks that are used (in any rite, for it (the word) is not used in respect of the Rka that are utilized for praise with an and praise without dash (stora and Sastra) as it is not used in respect of namini Rka in general. But it means one particular ts such an " rhose with the terus Prtal ','Pija' which are specially mentioned in Vedic passages " " The rks with Prth and Pij are the dhayiya ones ". Thip is found in the Adidrawa having the Sutra (PAS . iii. 3). All this will get contradicted if the word starge could have ita primary significance (in respect of iberation or abode of liberation or stated by you (the siddhi ntin). There would be no need to keep the word Udgit etc., as having nominal significance in respect of a particular ik and others
