Spoken to thus Naciketas say9 :

Choose sons and graudsons that live a hundred years ; a great number of cattle, clephants, gold, and horses. Choose big empire on the earth. Yot yourself live as many years as you wish.

COMMENTARY :

Thus spoken to by Naciketas, Death (ry), having lade it certain that he (Naciketas) will not be leaving it in the middle ot account of the subject being difficult and thinking that in spite of his having (the power or) ability to understand the truth of the freed so such as this is not fit to be imparted to one whose mind is bett on worldly pleasures, spoke seductively so that the desire to be liberated (on the part of Naciketas) may get confirmed and steady.
