ravarayapi bahabhir bhaych

broauto'pi b¢hideo yah a widyuk।

caryo vaca usecosys abdh¢

Who is not attainable by men even for hearing, whom many though hearing about cannot knowof whoru rare is anable expounder and rare is one that attains Him, and rare is one that knows Him, guided by well-trained (nen).

COMMENTARY :

yah : the well-known supreme Self

bahubhih: by many men

sravarayapi : for even being heard

7@ !rbaych : could not be attained; this is the meaning. The intention is that even the gain in hearing of about Him is itself the fruit of great and good deeds

+vantobi: Though hearing etc. The intention is , surely it is uot easy for all those that hear to attain clear knowledge of Him.

Scaryo takti : an able expounder and as able attainer of Hin are rare. This is the meaning,

calyo jaa : A knower of Hin) also taught by a proficient teacher (Gutu) is rare since it is stated (in the Gia VII. 3)Among thousands of nned a certain one strives after realization: among those that have nade attempts and realized , a certain one knows Me as I am." This is the intention,
