Through the Self (one) attains strength (and) through knowledge (one) attains the Immortal. Pratibodha means definite comprehension. The natute of the Brahmap, the Immortal, known as possessing the distinc- tive qualities of truth, knowledge, infinity and etc., brings immortality to its worshipper accordiog to the principle of Tat Kralu (Ch. Up. III. 14. 1). The root vid liere implies the causal (antar.bhavita-nyartlah). The manner in which one is made to attain (the Immortal) is next spoken of: Ātmanā...... In the mapuer spoken of in the text “Let that God cause als to come into contact with good remembrances” (rait. När.), one attains strength conducive to the accomplishment of knowledge througlı tbe Supreme Self Who is pleased.
