[ 308 ] सर्वार्थान् विपरीतांश्च बुद्धिः सा पार्थ तामसी ॥३२॥ That which, enwrapped in darkness, thinketh Wrong to be Right, and seeth all things subverted, that Reason O Partha, is of darkness. (32) अधर्मे wrong; धर्मं right; इति thus ; या which ; मन्यते thinks; तमसा with darkness ; वृता covered ; सर्वार्थान् = सर्वान् अर्थान् all, things ; विपरीतान् perverted ; बुद्धिः reason ; सा that ; पार्थ 0 Partha; तामसी tamasic. धृत्या यया धारयते मनःप्राणेंद्रियक्रियाः । योगेनाव्यभिचारिण्या धृतिःसा पार्थ सात्विकी ॥३३॥ The unwavering firmness by which, through yoga, , one restraineth the activity of the mind, of the life-breaths and of the sense-organs, that firmness, O Partha, is pure. (33) धृत्या by firmness ; यया ( by ) which ; धारयते holds ; मनः- प्राणद्रियक्रियाः-मनसः च प्राणानाम् च इंद्रियाणाम् च क्रियाः of the mind, and, of the life-breaths, and, of the sense-organs, and. actions; योगेन by yoga ; अव्यभिचारिण्या (by ) unwavering; ; धृति: firmness ; सा that; पार्थ O Pártha ; सात्त्विकी såtvic.
