The Kavya Bharatacharita deals with the legend of Bharatachakravartin, son of Dushshanta. It has a charming and beautiful style and will prove of great use to students. The name of the author is mentioned as Krishnâchârya in one of the manuscripts of this work while in two other ma- nuscripts, as Krishna Kavi; and nothing particular is known about him.
The edition is based on the following three palm leaf manuscripts in Malayalam characters, about a century old.
