xxix तुरगवदनतेोहिताश्चर्यशक्तिः for you to ma: 1 जयति गुरुरवायां वेदचूडार्यसंज्ञा मनितरजनलभ्यां लम्भितो रामा ॥ "The lion among poets and debaters, the master of all arts and sciences, who by the favour of Hayagriva had miraculous powers of intellect and who had the unique honour to be dubbed with the name of Vedantacharya by Ranganatha bimself-this, our Guru, gains increasing popularity day by day." He wrote the Vaibhava Prakasika, a biography of our author in verse. His disciple Maharyadasa (Perlappangar) a Vaisbnava Acharya, wrote a full commentary in Tamil on the Sanskrit Vaibbava Prakasika. The Saptatiratnamalika is a poem of 70 verses in praise of Desika by Prativadi Bhayankaram Annan, a student of Desika's son Nainaracharya, otherwise called Varadaguru. Bharadvajam Srinivasacharya, a great Sanskrit scholar, wrote commentaries on the Rahasya. trayasaram and the Nyayaparisuddhi. Mannappangar, a sound scholar wrote 100 verses in Tamil (sorops 8m) in praise of Desika. All the accounts of Desika's life agree in all particulars. Manavalamamuni the great saint, frequently refers to him with great rospect and quotes freely from him. Anantalwar, a very eminent writer, does the same.
