But I did not say anything criticising his speeech on these lines. I simply avoid ed making any reference to it and spoke on some uncontroversial general subject and finished my speech. Such has been my disinclination to write or say any thing eriticising Advaita . M.M. Ananta Krishhna Sastri was a friend of mine and we knew each other since very many years back. To write some thing attacking the Sri Bhashya and Visishtadvaita vas his hobby. he was a hasty writer with little or no care for correctness of statements and worth or merit of the writingsFarthasarathi Misra most probably a contemporary of Vacha+ spati Misra, is a famous Mimansa author. Sastra Dipika is one of his great and valuable works. In it he has subjected Advaita to trenchant criticisms. He describes this as the prattling of those that have not studied well the rules of interpretation. In his introduction to this work published by the Nirnaya Sagara Press,Bombay Sri Sastri says nothing regarding those criticisms but refutes the Visishta- dvaita view that the Purva and Uttara Mimamsas constitute one Sastra,these twobeing only parts of that whole. The two are concerned withthe two parts of the Veda relating to Kaima and Brahman respectively So like Veda, Mimamsa which is nothing but a com mentary on it is one consisiting of two parts. Sri astri
