Preface to the second edition.
It gives me great pleasure to place before the public this second edition of संस्कृतकथासंग्रह parts I & . II. Even a casual glance at the b00k will convince the reader, that efforts have been made, to make the b00k 1701re interesting and useful to the students. With this end in view, three short-stories from part [ have been 0mitted and five new stories with illustrative pic tures and two new dialogues have been added to it. A few new stories have also been added to part II as well.
Some difficult words have been simplified; the forms of Per fect 0ccurring in the p0etical passages are substituted by the forms (0f Imperfect, in the 10tes; and the miscellaneous verses at the end have been arranged in groups (of seven or eight each t() suit the re(uirements of teachers.
In part I the topic of Compounds has been dealt with in a simple and intelligible mammer. Many important comp0unds of fre(uent 0ccurretce in Sanskrit Literature have been dissolved and defined and a few exercises on compounds have been added at the end to facilitate the work of revision I have to thank the public for the appreciation they have shown of this little b00k and the encouragement they have given me in publishing this second edition.
