INTRODUCTION
The present volume consists of six dramatical pieces from this xxxxxxxxx
and the same author. In the whole range of Sanskrita literature, no author
excepting the famous dramatist Bhàsa, is to be found whose so many dramas,
all of a diverse nature, are bought to light in.this way. All the dramas are of
different varieties ---Vyàyoga, Bhana, Dima, Ihamrga, Prahasaua, Samavakāra. Vryāyoga, Bhãna and Prahasan are types which are :not
rare. But it will be noted that this collection publishes for the first time
Ihàrga, Dima and Samavakàra, which are known to Sanskrit readers only
through the definitions given in rhetorical and dramatical works.

एकाइचरितैकाङ्को गर्भामर्शयिवर्जितः । अस्त्रीनिमित्तसङ्ग्रामो नियुद्धस्पर्धनोद्धतः ॥ स्बल्पयोपिञ्जनः ख्यात्तधस्नुर्दीप्तरसाश्रयः । अदिव्यभूपतिः स्वामी व्यायोगो नायकां वेिना ॥ विज्ञेयः समवकारः स्यात् रव्यातार्यो निर्विमर्पकः । उदात्तदेवदैत्येशो वीय्यङ्गी वीररौद्रवान् ॥ अन द्वादशा नेतारः फलं तेर्पा पृयक् पृथक् । अङ्कास्रयस्त्रिशृङ्गारास्त्रिकपटास्निविद्रवाः ॥ पड्युग्मैकमुहूर्ताः स्युर्निष्ठितार्थाः स्यफार्यतः । मद्दावाक्ये च सम्बद्धाः क्रमादेकैकसन्घयः ॥ शृङ्गारम्रिविघो धर्मङ्गामार्यफलद्देतुकः । वत्र्यवञ्चदेवेभ्यः संभवी क्पटम्रिधा ॥ जीयाजीवोमयस्थः स्याद्विद्रवत्रिरमीयु तु । प्रत्येकमङ्केष्वेकैक्रं पद्यं च स्रग्परादिकम् ॥ भाणः प्रधानशृङ्गारवीरो मुखनिवादृवान्.। एकाङ्को दशलास्याङ्गः प्रायो लोकानुरञ्जकः ॥ एको विटेा वा धूर्तो या वेश्यदिः स्वस्य वा स्थितिम् । व्येामोत्तया वर्णयेदत्र वृत्तिः प्रायेण भारती ॥ वैमुख्यकार्ये घीय्यङ्गि ख्यातफौलीनदं भवेत् | इास्याङ्गि भाणसन्प्यङ्कवृत्ति प्रहसनं द्विधा ॥ निन्द पाषण्डियिप्रादेरक्ष्लीषासम्यवर्जितम् | परिदासवचःमायं शुद्धमेकत्र धेष्टितम् | अश्रान्तइाल्यशृङ्गारविमर्शः ख्थातयत्नुकः । रौद्रमुख्यश्चतुरङ्कः सेन्द्रजालरणो डिमः ॥ अनोल्कापातनिर्घाताश्चन्द्रसूर्योपरस्तयः । सुरामुरपिशााचाघाः प्रायः पोद्वश नायकाः ॥ ईहामृगः सवीप्यङ्गो दिव्येशो दृप्तमानवः । एकाङ्कश्श्रतुरङ्को या ख्यात्ताख्यातेतिवृत्तवान् ॥ दिव्यन्त्रीहेतुसद्वामो निर्विश्वासः सविद्रपः । रुपपहारभेददण्डप्रायो द्वादशनायक्: ॥ व्याजेनाऽत्र रणामावो यघासन्ने दारीरिणि । व्यायोगोत्ता रसाः सन्धिवृत्तयोऽनुचिता रःति ॥
