Nominal and adjectival feminine stems if ending in a or a have been grouped with their corresponding masculine stems, e. g. अक्षरे, रो- अ॒भिदिप्सु, प्सू, सरभ्यु. प्यू 9. Nominal and adjectival stems ending in i however, given in their own alphabetical order and not grouped with their corresponding masculine stems, e. g. sigsel- and at have not been grouped under-and- respectively. 10. A few diclensional forms, the stem of which could not be positively postulated, have been entered as such, e. g. अनेद्दा, दूरी, The issue of this volume marks the consummation of this work in eight volumes, covering, altogether, 4729 pages. This is, indeed, a moment of rejoicing as well as thanks-giving for all of us in that our sustained efforts in this behalf over the past nine years, often against very heavy odds, have fortunately reached their successful conclusion. On this auspicious occasion, I must express, on my own behalf and on behalf of all my colleagues on the staff as well as the management of the Institute, our deepest gratitude to all our patrons and friends, notably, those whose names it has been our privilege to record in the Commemorative Script in page iv of the title of each of these eight volumes in appreciation of their valuable financial assistance towards this project. It is also my most pleasant duty to record here my great appreciation of the devoted co-operation that I have always dep ended upon and received in this work from all my colleagues concerned in the Academic and the Administrative wings as well as the Printing Department of the Institute.
